Privacy Policy

Believr is a faith-inspired sports community run by Believr Sports. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect and how it is used.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, display name, region, favorite sports, teams, athletes and content interests, plus any social media handles you choose to add.
- Content you post: fan group posts, prayer requests, and high school athlete recruiting profiles (including stats, highlight video links, GPA and contact details you enter).
- Predictions you make on games, which count toward the public leaderboard.
What is public
- Fan group posts, prayer requests, athlete recruiting profiles and the predictions leaderboard are visible to anyone who visits Believr, signed in or not. Your display name and any social handles you added appear on your posts.
- Athlete profiles include a contact field. For minors, use a parent's or coach's contact — never a child's personal phone or email.
- Your email address and password are never shown publicly.
How we use your information
- To personalize your Home feed around the sports, teams and interests you picked.
- To show your posts, prayers, picks and athlete profiles to other fans.
- To send game reminders on your phone when you tap the reminder bell. Reminders are scheduled on your device; we do not track or store them.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not show third-party ads or use advertising trackers.
- We do not send marketing email.
Who we are
- Believr Sports operates Believr and is the data controller for the personal information described here.
Legal basis
- We process account and content data to provide the service you signed up for (contract), keep Believr secure and improve it (legitimate interests), send game reminders only when you allow them (consent), and meet legal duties (legal obligation).
Who we share data with
- Service providers that host and run Believr (hosting, database, AI styling).
- Stripe, our payment processor, which handles Believr Plus payments, subscriptions, tax and receipts. Stripe collects your payment details directly; we never see your card number.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where required by law. We never sell your data.
Retention and security
- We keep your data while your account is active and delete or anonymise it within 30 days after you ask us to delete your account, unless the law requires us to keep it longer (for example, billing records).
- Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited by account-level security rules, and passwords are never stored in plain text.
- Cookies and device storage are used only for essentials: keeping you signed in and remembering your chosen style.
Your rights
- You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing us. We respond within 30 days.
Game and score data
- Live scores and schedules come from publicly available sports data feeds. No personal information is sent to those services.
Your choices
- You can edit or delete your posts, prayers and athlete profile at any time, and change your preferences under Profile → Personalization.
- You can remove your social handles from your profile at any time; they stop appearing on new posts immediately.

Children
- Believr is not directed at children under 13, and accounts require an email address. High school athlete profiles should be created and managed by a parent, guardian or coach.
Changes and contact
- If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
